What if you get rejected??
This was the question that was asked to me during the final round of an interview. But before going that, do you ever think that interviews are 70 % mind games? From predicting the interviewer's aspect while asking questions to setting up the answer according to which he wants to hear; everything is a mind game🧠. To even which question should come after, It's always mind over knowledge at all times. AND if you break the mind, you break the opponent. HRs have already learned this and they employ it as well on each and every candidate. until they face the ONE. The ONE who gets selected.
During an interview, most people think that the interviewer is asking them the questions and they are simply giving the answers😐. But in fact, you are the one who decides which question should come next. You just need to read the interviewer's mind and act accordingly. And within minutes, ssssshhh, the interviewer is under your control. Don't you believe it?
So the interviewer will first have a normal conversation💬 and will try to make you comfortable. Then, he will check your CV and will only check your latest work or project. To be honest, HR would not have a single fucking idea about the project except the name of the project and some keywords like Github, module etc. So he will ask you to explain the project. This point, exactly this is the point where you are about to be the boss in your own interview. Now the next question depends on what you just told about the project. For example, just say the keyword github 3-4 times in sentences. The interviewer will then surely ask for your GitHub username and boom!! you were the one who made him to ask this question. Set your GitHub profile page in such a nice way that he thinks you're the deserved candidate. Surely he will check your contributions and maybe also ask something about them.
Now, let's talk about an informal question: Where do you see yourself in the next 15-20 years? Most people answer that they are expecting themselves on a higher post in the company. You can just say, I want to be a part of a big real-world project which adds value to people's lives or maybe can start my own business depends on my interest. "interest", yes, this is the word which will frame the next question.
What are your interests? Look! you again framed a question for yourself. In reply, you can share your interests but the last line should be "I love to play pool in my free time." Now the thing is in most of the offices, there is an indoor sports room in which people play games commonly pool. So, the interviewer will certainly tell you that they have a pool table in their office and they often play it. Now you can ask about the company's office and discuss its working culture. Yes, this is the point where HR will forget that he is taking an interview but will start to see you as a pool companion in the office more than the future employee of the company. And congratulations!🎉 You're selected.
Ohh the question, "What if you get rejected?" To be honest, I don't know how to answer this. When it was asked to me, I just think 💭for a bit simply replied, "Well! Then I'll apply to some another company."😄
